One exciting weekend, February 23 through 26, 2012. In the deep midwinter, you’ll find much warmth in sumptuous dining, extraordinary wine tastings and the fellowship of gastronauts, wine aficionados as well as budding foodies and oenophiles.
At private homes of distinction in the Brandywine Valley and in the elegant dining rooms of the five-star Hotel du Pont in Wilmington, you’ll discover the best from world-class chefs and accomplished winemakers.
Five formats, presented at ten events, will offer you the opportunity to swirl, sip, savor, learn, bid and collect—feeding your passions. The Feast opens with six intimate five- or seven-course Winemakers Dinners featuring celebrity guest chefs paired with talented local chefs and world-class winemakers. Wine tasting opportunities for the novice and connoisseur—including a master class featuring ten, 100 point wines will be moderated by Charles Curtis, MW, Head of Wine Sales, Asia, Christie’s. A crescendo combines a seven-course dinner with each course prepared by a different visiting chef and local chef team, wines from seven winemakers and the excitement of a live auction of fine wines lead by Charles Curtis. Sunday Gospel Brunch: Around the World with 80 Wines is the weekend finale. Foodies and oenophiles will enjoy delectable food, 80 wines and thirst-quenching spirits in a sociable atmosphere enlivened by Gospel music, chef and winemaker book signings and the temptations of a silent auction.
Embark on this sumptuous journey at the inaugural MidAtlantic Food + Wine Feast to enjoy culinary masterpieces accompanied by the fruits of master winemakers. To top it off, you will also be contributing to the ongoing success of the Delaware Theatre Company, the professional company that brings the passion of drama and entertainment of comedy to life on its intimate stage.
